Not potrei essere più che d'accordo con questa affermazione. In questo quaderno di attività, si affrontano sfide di disegno tecnico ispirate alla geometria; si scoprono i frattali, ripetizioni della stessa immagine sempre più piccola; si conta con il triangolo di Tartaglia east si risolvono puzzle inventati migliaia di anni fa come lo Stomachion; si unisce lo studio dei colori alla creazione di pattern o al "La matematica è piena di schemi, e gli schemi possono essere belli, curiosi e affascinanti."
Non potrei essere più che d'accordo con questa affermazione. In questo quaderno di attività, si affrontano sfide di disegno tecnico ispirate alla geometria; si scoprono i frattali, ripetizioni della stessa immagine sempre più piccola; si conta con il triangolo di Tartaglia e si risolvono puzzle inventati migliaia di anni fa come up lo Stomachion; si unisce lo studio dei colori alla creazione di pattern o all'applicazione delle regole della prospettiva, creando disegni in 3D. Ancora, c'è spazio pure per il problema di colorazione di una mappa con quattro colori e per il Teorema di Eulero sui cicli euleriani.
Le spiegazioni sono ridotte ai minimi termini per favorire gli esercizi pratici, trasmettendo però astrazione e schematizzazione. È quindi united nations libro da laboratorio che propone momenti di gioco e svago arricchiti con tante nozioni di matematica implicite. Carino! ...more

I found this at the Math Museum in NYC this past summer. Non but accept I read information technology, I have my students doing information technology! I've allowed students who are "pushing the envelope" in my math classes to dive in and have a go. It'south fun when playing with geometry tin can lead to a better understanding of math concepts. This book is kind of similar a whole bunch of "math labs" the way I would set up upward "scientific discipline labs." I plant this at the Math Museum in NYC this past summer. Not only take I read it, I have my students doing it! I've immune students who are "pushing the envelope" in my math classes to dive in and have a go. It's fun when playing with geometry can lead to a better understanding of math concepts. This volume is kind of similar a whole agglomeration of "math labs" the manner I would prepare upwards "science labs." ...more than

A drawing and colouring volume which shows how to make fabled patterns using the ability of maths. The writer's enthusiasm seeps through on every page. Topics include circles, parabolics, triangles, fractals, stomachions, spirals, 3D shapes and lots of other absurd stuff.

Highly recommend for whatsoever child who likes drawing, ages 6+ (you lot need to be able to read a fleck, and have good fine motor skills).

A cartoon and colouring book which shows how to make fabulous patterns using the power of maths. The author'due south enthusiasm seeps through on every folio. Topics include circles, parabolics, triangles, fractals, stomachions, spirals, 3D shapes and lots of other absurd stuff.

Highly recommend for whatsoever child who likes drawing, ages vi+ (yous need to be able to read a bit, and take good fine motor skills).
